Daniel Tércio presents his book, published within the project Linhas de Tensão. Arte, Dança e Ecologia, whose premise is a statement by Timothy Morton, “all art is ecological”. In the search for the malleability of relationship lines between humans and non-humans, tension lines emerge, on which are balanced the artists and the objects they create and exhibit. Their contributions become crucial to build worlds and to make sense of the world. Throughout the text, there are references to performances, paintings, literary works, films, etc. The project Linhas de Tensão. Arte, Dança e Ecologia is organised in two parts: a book launch and workshops. The book, which is freely distributed via a network of cultural institutions, theatres and associations, is divided into 12 essays: forest; plankton and whales; aggression and violence; transformation; transportation; sleeping and dreaming; cultivating-the-wisdom-of-indigenous-peoples; wild-being; captivate-resonate; what is not yet but could be; actions for 2028; and re-founding cities. The book is also the main motivation for short workshops aimed at triggering the imagination.
With the presence of Ana Godinho (Philosopher) and José Gil (Philosopher) and Daniel Tércio (author).
Copies of the book will be distributed free of charge to those attending the launch and those registered for the workshop.
In conjunction with the publication of the book, there will be a free workshop with Daniel Tércio and Pedro Ramos (choreographer and performer).
